2024 North Reach Kite

Had my first session on a 9m Reach the other day and it was fantastic! Super super user friendly, stable and lightweight too. The kite just took me wherever I wanted to go! Super easy to blast upwind and then drifted back downwind just as well. Also very noticeable in how light the kite was. As the wind started to drop through the evening and people were launching 10 and 11 meter kites I was able to keep going just fine with my 9m. The lighter bar pressure combined with super nimble steering made it so I was able to stay out longer with less fatigue too which is awesome. I would highly recommend this kite for any beginner or intermediate riders just for how user-friendly and predictable it felt. All around a fantastic kite that felt confidence inspiring and easy to fly. 5 stars.

If you want one kite to do it all, the reach has it! I use this kite for boosting, kite loops, foiling, and progression from beginner to mega looping. I really can’t find fault in this kite, it has been awesome in lightwind and strong storm conditions. I have ridden this in the 7m, 9m, 12m, 15m and 17m sizes. The smaller sizes are so responsive, they make kite loops easy and so much less intimidating. The larger sizes have also been real session savers and still relaunch in the lightest of wind.

This is my go to kite anytime I want to dial in a new trick or just have a mellow easy session on the water. It is predictable and incredibly stable all while being nimble and having the right amount of pop and power that inspires the confidence needed for progressing. This kite is a great daily driver for any kind of session and especially great for beginners since it has great water re-launch characteristics and is by far the most stable over head kite I have flown. Would highly recommend adding a Reach to your kite quiver.

Been loving the new Reach this year. Took it on a trip to Fiji last summer and it worked amazing in the good waves and for foiling on the flat water side of the island. Kite is very comfortable to fly, lighter bar pressure, which makes it very easy on the rider. Snappy steering when redirecting and good drift when going down the line. The kite feels so solid and the attention to detail on the construction of the kite is very noticeable. Also been riding it here at home in some gusty side-off conditions and the kite handles. I would recommend this kite to anyone who wants to do it all, freeride, surf, or foil.

I have had many amazing boosting sessions in heavier air under the Reach, practicing loops trusting the Reach's ability to catch me. I've foiled the Reach, heavily impressed in its ability to relaunch in very light wind. As a coach, the Reach is my go-to, demonstrating extremely easy relaunch and flying characteristics for new riders.
