Cape Hatteras Wave Classic presented by Patagonia Day 3

Day Three of the Cape Hatteras Wave Classic presented by Patagonia started with winds strong enough to run heats through round 2.  We had a change in weather mid morning.  A rain storm shifted our strong cross onshore breeze, to a light offshore. Competitors, spectators, and event staff all ran to the water to partake in surf sessions throughout the day.  Short boards, long boards, fishes, even inflatable couches were in the line up.  Everyone was stoked to get together and enjoy a classic North Carolina beach day.

We have two more CHWC event parties with live waterfront music this week and these are both OPEN to the public with Watermen’s Bar & Grill serving dinner and drinks throughout the shows. These include:

Friday: Awards Party with DJ No Philter 6-9pm.
