Fall in Cape Hatteras = Wind & Waves
The fall season in Cape Hatteras is one of the best times of the year. The days are warm, the sunsets are amazing, and the nights are the perfect temperature for sleeping. But that’s not even the best of it! The fall is also filled with great swell produced by storm systems offshore in the Atlantic and consistent winds, predominantly from the north east, that will last for days if not an entire week or more!
This October the test crew from SBC Kiteboard magazine traveled down from Canada to do their annual gear test. They were greeted with warm water and air temps and a solid two weeks of wind and swell. The REAL team caught up with the SBC boys for a few days of riding on all of the new 2010 gear from Liquid Force, Naish, Best, & Slingshot.
REAL Team Riders; Sam Bell, Brandon Scheid, Ryan Evans, and Jason Slezak put their new 2010 gear through its paces in the video below during an angry Atlantic ocean session with perfect side-off wind and thick pitching lips! Enjoy all of the action!
