What We Like:
The Surge is a price point sunglass that will stay on your face. The Typhoon sunglass by Lip has insanely high quality lenses but they are pricey. The Surge is less than half the price and you get a great fitting pair of glasses, everything that you need to keep them on for kiting and a carrying case.

The vented poly carbonate(PC) lens will let air flow through so the lenses won't fog. They are polarized and will keep water and sun out of your eyes.

Insider Info:
Once you wear the Typhoon it is hard to downgrade to the Surge. The Zeiss lenses on the Typhoon are such high quality that everything else pales in comparison. That being said some people just don't want to kick down over $200 for a pair of water shades.

The Surge has smaller face coverage than the Typhoon and a different fit. If the Typhoon didn't fit or are too big, then check out the Surge.

Lip has figured out a way to guarantee you don't loose your water glasses. Their glasses retainer uses a sturdy lock on attachment piece and the retailer strap will not stretch or give when it is wet. This retainer strap attaches to a silicon hoop that you wear around your neck. Some people don't like to wear the silicon hoop because it is one more thing to have to fuss with. If you want to be 100% sure to keep you glasses from flying off, use the retainer strap and the extra silicon hoop.
