Product Information

Description

The John John (L) Techflex signature fin is a large sized Speed Control fin with a Ride Number of 4.0. It's the scaled up version of JJF's medium size weapon of choice. The Techflex construction and flat foil give this fin a stable feel, making it ideal for controlling speed in more powerful waves.

Future's Description
The lightweight Techflex material and responsive flex pattern continues to be the ideal choice for one of the most progressive, high performance surfers in the world and is now offered in a size that best fits surfers in the small size range.

Techflex
Techflex fins are engineered to be stiff and light. These fins will give you a solid and engaged feel for those big drops, but be lightweight and responsive when engaging the rail. These fins sit above the fiberglass line and have a Ride Number range of 3-4.5. Techflex fins are great for powerful surfers or powerful conditions.

Flat Foil
Flat foiled fins break free sooner, and are better at controlling speed. Often surfers prefer them in fast powerful surf where they do not need to create additional speed. If you have muscle memory from riding glass-ons, flat foiled fins will feel the closest.

Go To Fins!

Originally picked these fins up for really good days at home and trips. They soon made their way into more and more of my sessions. Now they are basically the only fins I use. These fins have a ton of hold and drive in bigger waves, but they are not so stiff that they cannot be super playful in average waves as well. Besides them just going well in everything, it has been nice to have a pair of fins that I have totally dialed and can use as a kind of control when getting a new board. I use these mostly as the thruster set up, but I do have some boards that I use these front fins in with rear quad trailers and they work great with that set up as well. Basically, for good waves or really pushing hard through turns, look no further!

Fin for when the waves are firing!

Right when you pick up this fin you can feel that it is going to be a good one. Solid construction and really nice materials make this a go to fin when the waves turn on. Did a couple trips last year to El Salvador and Fiji and this was the set up when the waves were overhead and hollow. Worked equally well on my step up and my go to shortboard. Really good down the line drive and hold.
