From Core

From now on there is no need to worry about whether power, turning speed, lift or drift are more important. The ultra versatile handling of the CORE Nexus 3 makes compromise a concept of the past.

A brand new material mix of ExoTex 2 in the leading edge, ExoTex Light in the struts and CoreTex 2 in the canopy not only make the Nexus 3 stronger and more robust, but also lighter and more agile. Best kite for a beginner

I started kiting about a year ago on an XR7 and moved to an XR8 once that kite was released. I enjoyed using them both but wasn't able to progress much with them.

Fast forward to October 2023 and finally take out the Nexus 3 for the first time in some perfect southwest 20mph wind (that puts me on a 10m). I tend to nearly stall my kite when I transition for a fun carving effect and with the XR it was always close to falling out of the sky. As soon as I finish my first tack and start transitioning I realize the Nexus is the kite I've been looking for. It's easier to feel the power and move the kite faster than the XR's. You can whip it to the other side of the wind window to almost instantly transition.

I've been using this kite ever since then and it's been hard to get me to test out other kites because it's such a great kite.

Exemplary!

The nexus has been more efficient for me than the XR. The movement of the kite is easily anticipated. It doesn’t back stall and it is easy to control. It responds very well with the core kite bar. It has an overall light feel. It is easier than most kites to relaunch from the water if it does fall.

Give it a go!

Really enjoyed the Core Nexus 3 yesterday. I have put most of my time into the XR7 and I really liked how smooth and controlled the power delivery on the Nexus 3 felt. I love how well this kite will drift and pivot. It is a great choice for a first kite and doesn't seem to have a ceiling when it comes to progressing your riding. Give it a try if you get the chance!

All Around Awesome

After kiting for over 15 years I had my reservations about a kite that "does everything". But without question this kite is a quiver killer and my go to kite across disciplines.

The Nexus is my favorite kite in waves because it drifts great, loops quickly, and is incredibly responsive. It is a great option for foiling because it flies great in light wind and doesn't back stall often. While it is not a XR or dedicated big air kite, the nexus is a solid jumping kite and really fun for throwing kite loops as well. Definitely a great all around weapon!

Favorite Kite ALL TIME

The NEXUS 3 has earned the spot as my favorite kite ALL TIME for several reasons. It is truly a premium multi-discipline kite that sacrifices little to nothing in performance across the board. I choose this kite with confidence for twin-tip, foil, surf, big air, freestyle, sliders. You name it the NEXUS excels at it. If you want a single kite to travel with, to cover all the kite sports you enjoy, the NEXUS 3 is the easy choice.

I mostly use the NEXUS 3 for twin-tipping. I can easily learn new tricks with the NEXUS because it is so predictable in the wind window and forgiving in the power zone. The kite's feedback is on point. I can confidently megaloop the kite knowing it will catch me, but it still gives me that addicting yank. It can easily replace the GTS for loops. I have learned more megaloop tricks on the NEXUS 3 than I have any other kite throughout the years.

Foiling and wave riding are a breeze with the NEXUS because it has a smooth power delivery all the way through the power zone and through turns. The new lightweight materials allow it to drift like a feather whether on foil or on a wave. The CORE Section 4 is a little more precise in the waves, and the XLITE 2 is a little more lightweight for foiling, but the NEXUS has a more rigid frame to hold down more power compared to those kites.
