A fast, dedicated surf shape with smooth turning and loads of projection, allowing a powerful vertical attack in down the line waves. Developed for surfing and engineered for kitesurfing, the Charge rides like a high-performance surfboard. Turning hard in the pocket and releasing on demand, it excels in carving, has fantastic upwind drive for onshore riding, and is versatile enough to pop strapless freestyle tricks with ease. The Carbon Innegra Futurelite system maximizes strength without losing flex or responsiveness. The full deck grip with front and rear kicks provides exceptional comfort and control. Commit to the wave and have the confidence to charge.
picked up the north charge 5' 7' for my trip out to the gorge - Oregon coast this summer. the board absolutely rips ! Good thing I picked up the 5' 7" as I flew my 6m 7 days straight. Board is fast, lively, light and really rips the bottom and top turns
rode strapless but I do ride it with straps on the big Northeast days in NJ.
I absolutely love this board. I feel like this board can make small waves so fun but also has made me feel great in some of the biggest waves that I have kited. There is something about this board that really smoothes out my turns and makes it easier to get comfortable doing more aggressive turns.
This board is pretty true to size and has a great amount of volume. Also a big fan of the new traction pads, the small bump on the front is perfect (helps me not slip my front foot forward).
My hair is still wet from a recent session on the new North Charge kite surfboard.
I am a very experienced surfer, decent kite surfer. I am 5'8" and weigh 155. I was riding the 5'7" with a 9M kite in relatively small surf here in Cape Hatteras.
This is the truest to a surfboard of the kite surf boards I have ridden. It was predictable, went upwind well and snapped off the top with that quick short board feel. I especially liked the traction pad, it was grippy, dependable and in all the right spots.
I did find I was riding a bit forward on the board but when I stepped back on to the tail it really ripped a turn.
I look forward to getting this board into some real waves, it is going to rip and be totally dependable.
