2022 North Nova Wing

The ability to make small adjustments with the handles is great. Very comfortable. The materials are very strong,light and durable. Feels very stable. The colors are very vibrant so you’ll be seen from the beach. Hope to get more time out there soon.

What can I say about this wing other than its just plain awesome. The handles on this wing are perfectly placed, giving you a ton of control over the wing and allowing you to move your hands around easily as needed. This wing has a ton of low end grunt to get you up and riding on light wind days, but holds its own when the wind speed get cranking. This is also by far the easiest wing to get up with in my opinion as it just lays flat on the handles when you are not touching it and allows you to easily grab the front handle to get started. Overall, an amazing design by North and the wing you will find in my hands 90% of the time.

Have ridden several of the v2 Novas - 4m, 5m and most recently the 3.5m in side off gusting conditions. the dual eva foam coated stiff handles make this wing really versatile. In one session it was gusting over 30mph when I was on the 3.5m in 2ft waves. The stiff handles allowed to control and pitch the wing in different ways to deal with challenging conditions which made the session really memorable. The handles make the center strut really solid and add to overall rigidity of the wing, which translates into more control and power. They are easy to hold and are comfortable for long periods of time.
The harness lines attachments i felt were positioned in a way that made it more difficult to ride aggressively up wind, which required more front hand leverage and less time to relax.
The inflation and deflation is quick as Novav2 uses 2 connections to the center strut. Basically a single fold between the handles before rolling up the wing tips allows it to slip into the rectangular bag that has a quality zipper for easy packing.
The bag has a single sling style shoulder strap with the nice zipper and there is ample room in the bag.
Very enjoyable wing and you will be happy you can fly something so versatile.

This is the Goldielocks of wings - love the handles, easy to maneuver during transitions, glides nicely for downwinders, comfortable and stiff front handle, and very balanced. Ridden the 2.5 up to 50 knots it handled great … thou waiting for the 1.9 to be released. I didn’t find the 2.5 heavy at all compared to other wings I’ve used. You can’t go wrong with the north nova 2022

I've ridden this wing in flat water and in the ocean. The 2022 Nova has a super balanced feel, intuitive, responsive, and has good power for its size. You will notice the extra weight of the wing, but having the durability and stiffness of North's high tenacity Dacron, and the ergonomic handling of the rigid handles make up for the weight. Their manufacturing is impressive; the wing feels very stiff and the construction is confidence-inspiring. So far, I've seen these wings hold up very well over time having taught many lessons on them and seeing them get put through the ringer of our rental shop. I've found a big difference in tip strike between the '21 and '22 versions: they've made the outline more compact to enable easier recovery from the water. A well-constructed, intuitive wing that I recommend to all my students.
