2400 Light Wind Beast

I took the 2400 out with the 6.5M A Wing and the 132L FG board in 13mph of wind over the weekend and the combo worked insanely well. The 2400 gets you up onto foil at really low speeds and keeps you on foil with its extremely low stall speed. It pumps really well and it is easy to generate extra speed once you are up and riding. It is a little slow to turn but retains its speed through turns to make transitions easy.

2400 is like performance training wheels :-)

Bought the Armstrong system for the benefits of not having to take apart to clean, plus being able to switch out foils as I progress. Currently on the 2400 as a big rider and been using it in 10-25mph with no issues and started shimming the tail for a little extra speed and turning. Will probably do the 1550 v2 next.

First foil

After briefly learning to foil 2 years ago at Real I decided I needed a foil for myself to maximize my days on the water. I looked at every option and while Armstrong was the most expensive especially for my first foil, I went with it. The quality, the ability to easily upgrade, and the stellar performance drew me it. In addition, I wanted a foil that did everything and the 1200 is exactly that. It was a great investment. The first time I put it together I was as stoked as I would be after a good session, everything fits perfect, its so darn light, and it looks cool as hell.

I got one session behind the boat to get my balance, and then took it behind the kite when it was blowing 13-16 with a 9m enduro V2 and 4-5 Armstrong SKT (Im 70kg). I got up riding no problem and had a solid session and also fell a lot. Went out again when it was blowing 15-20 with the same set up and everything clicked, pumping the small swell, jamming up wind, flowing turns, it was all so fun. Iv since used it behind the boat more and feel super solid on it. I am so happy I went with a larger wing because originally I thought it might be too much behind the kite but that was not the case. Its a great light wind foil (it feels fast) and is enough that I can surf behind the boat.

The progression that this foil enables is awesome and all the adjustments make it top of the line. I will absolutely keep buying Armstrong its worth it.
4 stars because of the price, but don't let that scare you.
