TAKE THE NEXT STEP.

The all new Wing board range is designed to enable your winging progression.

The Wing FG board range is designed for winging. Its refined shape packs more volume into smaller dimensions, allowing riders to experience the riding performance of a smaller board while facilitating ease of use. A swept wedge nose, cleanly arranged tail geometry and full length chines result in a unique level of functionality, refinement and aesthetics. Ten sizes from 34-135L offer something for riders of all skill levels and weights.

AN EVOLVED AND REFINED SHAPE.

Experience a big jump in overall performance without having to trade substantial volume to get there.

  • Compared to the FG board ranges, the Wing boards have an overall narrower outline for increased planing speed, higher turning performance and reduced windage.
  • Improved stability with a wider, flatter standing area and contoured deck grip edges.
  • Incredibly smooth and easy takeoffs and touchdowns with a cleaner, reduced area bottom shape.

Forward Geometry

Limitless options to fasttrack your progression.

Emphasising modularity within board design, Armstrong introduced a major innovation to wing boards in 2021 with the Forward Geometry concept. Designed to work with any brand of foil, the FG design increases responsiveness by placing the foil more centrally and reducing swing weight in turns. The Wing board range carries on that design legacy with FG foil tracks that are strategically placed well forward for maximum manoeuvrability and a hyper connected feel on foil, delivering high performance to riders on all the board sizes.

Proven Construction
  • Ultra stiff double skin carbon PVC sandwich resists dinging and pressure denting
  • Deck to bottom i-beam dual stringers provide maximum structural rigidity for a sublime feel when riding and industry-leading durability.
  • Proprietary carbon fibre foil tracks are keyed directly into the fibres of the stringers for a fully integrated construction.

Key Features
  • Optimised Deck Contours
    • Creates greater stability with less overall width for higher turning performance and reduced windage.
  • Narrower Outline
    • Increased planing speed.
  • Raised Deck Wedges & Arch Bars
    • Intuitive foot placement reference.
  • Dual Carbon Stringer System
    • Maximum rigidity for sublime feel underfoot.
  • Reduced Area Bottom Shape
    • Incredibly smooth and easy takeoffs and touchdowns.
  • Single Sided Handle
    • Easy carry and reduced water splash on takeoff and touchdown.
  • Forward Geometry (FG) Foil Track
    • Our proprietary Forward Geometry foil track offers limitless options to fasttrack your progression. This system is designed to work with any foil brand.

Increased speed and take off stability for any level of foiler!

This is the best wing board on the market. The new deck pad contours well and makes it easier to control the board while on foil. It tracks well for increased stability on take offs and will carry speed more efficiently. I weigh 185lbs and the 70L & 80L boards are very easy to start on if you are powered on the wing. If you’re a beginner to winging I recommend getting a larger size before making the jump to a lower volume board. If you can pump up on foil already then jumping down to the 48L or 58L board with foot straps will be the better option for you. If you want one board that can do it all look no further!

Improved Design allows you to ride smaller and shred harder

Frothing on awesome sessions on the new Armstrong Wing FG board. I am riding the 4'4 (40L) board, and previously was on the Armstrong 4'8 (50L). I rode the board in ankle to overhead waves, and pair it with the MA 800/1000/1225 dependent upon conditions. I also teach winging for Real and find the 5'8 (105L), a great board for intermediate riders.

I was impressed by the boards improvements to performance in waves and how well the board pumps. The narrower design translated to a major difference in wave riding and I was able to make noticeably sharper turns, pull off steeper drops, and ride at faster speeds with control. My air game improved because I can build more speed before take off, and on landing the board smoothly bounces onto foil.

A huge benefit of this board is how well it pumps and easily gets on foil. This is invaluable for saving sessions on lighter wind days. One day the the wind was averaging 17mph side off. I had a 5.3m XPS wing and a MA 1225. On my previous board it would have been almost impossible to get on foil. I was able to create enough forward drive through pumping the board that I was able to achieve lift off, despite minimal power.

Teaching students with the 5'8 (105L), it was clear that the board requires less power to get on foil. I was also impressed by the maneuverability and how well the board jibes for its size.

The board achieves improvements to performance while maintaining the stability of its predecessor. Great work Armstrong!

Wow…. Just WOW!!

I had the opportunity to take the new 6’2” 135L WING FG out for a spin!
I have recently dropped down board sizes from the Armstrong 6’4” 132L WING SUP to the 105L WING FG.
BUT…. I wanted to compare the new 135L WING FG with the 132L WING SUP so that I might help out the beginner foilers out there. I have a review of the 132L WING SUP so check that out!
The new 135L WING FG is Amazing!
Not only is it narrower (27.5” vs 31.25”) AND shorter (6’2” vs 6’4”) but it has MORE volume (135 vs 132)!! This volume makes the board super stable on the water even in the chop.
The new raised edges on the deck help assist your knees to balance the board during water starts and the new decking material is super cush with deeper grooves and better grip. I really like the arch bars for foot placement!
With the board being much narrower I feel like it has quicker, snappier turns and the wind doesn’t push it around as much when up on foil. My jibes did feel smoother and I feel that has to do with the width. Speaking of on foil…… this thing POPS off the water way fast and the touchdowns are smooth with a fast recovery back to on foil (of course you gotta be powered up)!
The Forward Geometry Foil track is super nice especially when learning because you can gradually dial in your mast placement as you progress.
I think this would be a GREAT beginner and light wind board!

Awesome Upgrades

This new Wing FG board is a huge leap forward in performance and innovation.
I’ve had a couple sessions on the 4’6” at 48L and one session on the 4’4” at 40L. For the past year, I’ve been riding the 4’8” original FG board at 50L or a KT Ginzu 4’8” at 54L.
The 4’4” was fun but just a bit too small while the new 4’6” is absolutely perfect. It’s a bit less stable to initially get going than the 50L – the time when you are on your knees, trying to grab the wing is more challenging but as soon as you get the wing and get any power or any forward momentum the board is ready to jump up and go. It’s wildly better in terms of getting up on foil than ANY other board I’ve tried. It jumps back up on foil after a touch down and doesn’t seem to have any “stickiness” on the water.
I primarily wing in the ocean, riding waves and the performance is superior to anything else I’ve ridden. The 48L board feels small and maneuverable like my 34L prone surf foil board – in fact, they are very close in size (4’5” on the prone and 4’6” on the wing board.)
I love that I can get my arm around it to carry it down the beach or handle it in the shore break.
I’ve been riding it with straps. The new pad feels great and the new bag is sturdy and offers a bit of sun protection which is really nice.
I’ve been on this epic wing foil journey for about three years, would consider myself an advanced rider who prefers to be in the ocean and I weigh 160lbs.

Best Wing Board Got Even Better!

The new Armstrong FG is better in almost every way and improves upon the early version of this board by feeling lighter while you are riding, peeling off the water easier and being more stable on the surface of the water even on the new narrow platform. They must have learned a lot with the development of the DW board because it is really fast on the surface of the water. The chines seem a little taller on each side, offsetting any stability issues you would get with a more narrow board. I really like the new deck pad system. The raised edges help your knees balance the board a little easier but may be tricky for guys who have a bit of a cross step stance. As always, having the forward geometry track is a boon to those who are using this board with an Armstrong foil setup. This is the finest wing board that money can buy by a long shot.
