Description

From Naish

The brand new Hover Inflatables set the standard for compactness for wing-surf foiling and SUP foiling. These boards are easy to travel with and roll up to a backpack size for travel and storage. Although they’re inflatables, these boards have made zero concessions when it comes to performance. Built with a double dropstitch construction and single center stringer, the Hover Inflatables are extremely stiff for superior foiling performance. The 6” sidewall also contributes to the overall board stiffness, volume and stability. The carbon foil mount spreads the load of a foil evenly, giving a composite like board ride while keeping overall weight to a minimum. For traveling Wing-Surfers or SUP Foilers, the Hover Inflatable makes travel easy without sacrificing performance.

Great large board

I bought the 170L board as a trainer for wing foil and to use with a modular efoil. It was a fantastic board. Easy to ride and very durable. I left it inflated for the summer at it did not drop one PSI. It also stayed rigid riding and lifting with the 30 lbs battery and efoil attached. Recommend.

Packs small... rides so light!!

PROS-Naish Hover 100L packs down to the size of a Kiteboard in it's soft case..so it fits in my old kite "Golf Bag"..add a 4m wing,5.5m wing+a Armstrong 1550V2 I am ready for a trip...

On a vacation from my Stressful Maui Life--Tested it in 0-50mph gusty Big Island Hawaii wind..It survived...

In light winds its like riding a cloud..very light!!!

CON-In low wind it kinda "sticks" to the water...wait for a swell or a wave trough when you pump to get the launch...

All in all it's pretty stiff..and fun!!! Great Option for a Travel Board...

Exceeded my expectations!

I recently got to ride the 5'7" 135L size, and I got to say that it definitely exceeded my expectations. Being inflatable I thought it would be bouncy and unruly. This thing actually has a pretty low amount of flex. Going to inflatable vs a normal hard board there are some definite pros and cons, this is what I noticed:

PRO
-Packs down into a super small well-built travel bag. Hard to get back into the bag, but its worth it for how much it packs down.
-Overall pretty stiff and rides well.
-Super safe option. This would be PERFECT to put your kids on for them to learn to wing.
-If you are between two sizes, go bigger. My normal wing board is 62 liters, so for me on this 135L board I thought it would feel massive. Because its inflatable and the mass is so low, it still felt like a small board. It was super stable and floaty, but still felt like a small board. Kind of best of both worlds.

CON
-Its still inflatable, so it does have more flex than even a low quality hard board. When I was holding the wing by the front handle and just pumping along on flat water, I could really feel how much pump power I was losing into the board. This makes the board not the best option for true performance ripping. For general freeride though just fine.
-The rails are big thick rounded rails that are sticky on the water. If you are going upwind and touch the rail to the water, it wants to suck you down farther instead of releasing.
-Be careful of sharp objects!!!
