Description

The Armstrong Ultimate Wing Waist Leash is a great accessory for any brand inflatable wing on the water.  This leash uses a non-chaffing bungee spectra rope, has a comfortable waist strap that won’t release, and there is a quick release just in case you get in trouble.

High Quality Spectra Bungee:

The spectra bungee rope that Armstrong selected for this leash is super strong and won’t break or get stretched out like other wing leashes do.  Also this material does not chafe you when It wraps around your arm or side on transitions.

Quick Release For Safety:

Anyone that is wing foiling in the surf knows that things can go bad quickly if you get tangled up in your board and wing leash.  The quick release allows you to eject from your wing in the event you get tangled with a kiter or even yourself.

Waist Belt That Stays On:

The waist belt that Armstrong made allows you to double back on the strap so it won’t loosen up while you are riding.  There are also neoprene covers you can slide over the buckle so they don’t release it by mistake.

What’s Included:
  • Waist Leash
  • Quick Release
  • Pigtail Wing Attachment

The A Wing Ultimate Waist Leash is designed to be used with the hand wing only, and not intended for use on your foilboard. For use with your foilboard, instead use the Armstrong Waist Board Leash.

Hands free!!

This is definitely worth adding to your wing set up. Frees up both your hands for easy wing handling and no tangles. Also frees up the hands if you need to paddle your board through the surf or out to the wind line. The wing will flag out behind you as you paddle with little resistance. Any thing that makes the leash battle easier is worth it and this does the trick.

A great upgrade!

This waist leash, the Ultimate Wing Leash is a must have wing accessory for both flat water and in the waves.

I had been using a wrist leash that came with my wings and was generally doing fine in the sound but struggled in the ocean to paddle out through the surf.

The waist leash is game changing for paddling out through waves. You are able to trail your wing behind you and paddle with both arms and limited resistance.

It's got a solid closure and won't come off, even when getting worked in the waves or if you knock it with your board or body.

The safety feature of the quick release is awesome. I've used it once on a bigger surf day when I got caught on the inside and was getting tumbled with my board. Was great to ditch the wing and know that my foil wasn't going to slice my wing in half.

After using it in the ocean, I started using it in the sound and found it's just plain easier to have a waist leash. It makes wing transitions easier and it's one less thing to deal with or to get tangled.

A great upgrade for any wing and a MUST if you are in the surf.

Avoid leash tangles/ good accessory for winging

One of the least enjoyable parts of winging is tangling leashes from the board and wing. Having a waist leash significantly decreases this nuisance and the bungee rope doesn't stretch like the previous bungee leash system. Definitely recommend

Turns out that yes, its worth it.

When I saw this leash my first thought was "Is it really worth it? How much better could a waist leash be over the included wrist leashes?" Turns out, yeah its worth it, and yeah its for sure better.

The waist leash just gives you so much more freedom of motion moving the wing around during transitions and especially when riding a wave. A standard coiled wrist leash just seems to always be in the way and its kind of a pain. Also if you have to paddle out past the surf at your spot, the pull of the wing on your wrist can be tough when paddling. The waist leash is better for all of that. Its the kind of thing where you don't really realize how much nicer it is until you try it. I tried it once, now I just can't go back. Definitely worth it.

Didn't know I needed a quick release wing leash until I did

The Ultimate Wing Leash is a killer add on to any wing on the market. I like the waist leash so you can paddle out with both arms free and have the wing trail behind you.

This waist leash has a couple interesting features that work really well. First the leash can be doubled back and then you put a neoprene cover over the buckle and tail of the leash. This keeps it from coming loose and it won't go flying off of you if you hit it on your board by mistake.

Second the bungee spectra rope does not chafe or burn you if it gets wrapped around your arms while winging. A lot of the other leashes that I have made or used are pretty harsh.

Third the quick release is a really important and I didn't know I needed it til I did. The quick release is the same style they use on kite harnesses. You push away and can release the wing. I used it when I got rolled by a wave and then both my board and wing leash got tangled up and I was in the middle. The quick release allowed me to release the wing, get untangled and then put it back together easily. I could see this as an important safety feature if you collide with a kiter too.

This is a great upgrade for your Armstrong A Wing or any other wing out there.
